Did you see this?

I think I squealed with joy when I saw this:

I’m so excited Miss Mint is going to do this again! I had such a blast last year and some of my favorite layouts are STILL from that competition. Out of all the contests I’ve participated in, the format of this one is by far my favorite. I can’t wait!

Digi Dare time!
Ok, so first off I want to thank everyone who played along with my first dare. It was so cool to see all the different layouts and I was really glad I could inspire some people to complete their very first dare. I especially loved seeing the international entries. It was so interesting to see what other people love about their countries. I tried to get around and leave everyone some love on their layouts but there were 1 or 2 posted at sites that I don’t have accounts for so I couldn’t leave you love. But I promise I looked at each and every one of them!

This week’s dare is by Brittany so I knew it was going to be fun one! The challenge is to scrap something unfashionable you do. I actually try really hard not to do anything too unfashionable (no ratty sweatpants here! LOL) but I did manage to come up with something:

Tattered & Torn at DST

My modeling debut! I had to laugh when I finished this layout because I think it looks almost too hip to be about something unfashionable. LOL The layout itself is about this white belt I have that Adam keeps trying to make me get rid of. The problem with it is that it’s white so it gets dirty easily but it has metal that has now rusted thanks to be washed. It didn’t look that bad until we moved into our apartment here in Colorado where the cheap washing machine killed the poor thing! Now the edges are all frayed and I’m always having to snip strings off of it, but I still wear it occasionally anyway. I just like it that much!

And I have another layout to share with you today too:

Summer Fun at DST

This layout was for one of last month’s spin-a-lift challenges at Sweet Shoppe Designs. Love those challenges! The layout itself features the Bubble-licious kit by Zoe Pearn and Christy Lyle. I love this kit, all the papers and elements are so yummy!

Ok well that’s all I’ve got for now! Until next time…

Come play!

Everyone have a good 4th of July? I did!

This week I am hosting my very first Digi Dare challenge. Woohoo! I’d love for you all to come play along. It’s going to be a lot of fun, I promise! You might even win some prizes!

The challenge is to scrap something you love about your country. This is my take on it:

DD #43 - Freedom at DST

I used stock photos for this one simply because I knew what I wanted and I didn’t have anything like that. LOL I would probably have tried to do my own take on the flag photo but since Alyssa is here visiting I didn’t have time for that. But I’m happy with how it came out anyway!

Ok, that’s all I’ve got for now! Make sure you stop by ScrapArtist and pick up some goodies. Everything is 30% off through Sunday! If you’re unsure what to buy, I recommend some Amber Clegg designs. ; )

Until next time…

Layout time!

I’m going to keep this short because my sister arrives today to visit and I still have a few things to do before I go pick her up at the airport. Woohoo!

Here’s my layout for Digi Dare 42. Come play along! The challenge was to scrap about an unanswered prayer that ended up being a blessing. For some reason I had a really hard time with this one. I’m still not sure I love what I did but I’m just glad I managed to finished it at all with all the moving craziness! Ok here ya go:

DD #42 - Job Hunt at DST

Ok that’s all I’ve got for now! Be sure to stop by the Digi Dare blog this Friday where I will be hosting my very first dare! It’s going to be awesome!
