New home and gimpy legs…
Anyone else feel like this has been the slowest week ever? Maybe it has to do with my anticipation about the 24th being the greatest day of the year??
It’s almost moving day!
Today we had our new home walk-through. Originally it was supposed to be on Monday but they had some kind of issue and had to push it back. So today we went over there and met with the head construction guy so we could go through the home with a fine-toothed comb. It was pretty fun. We each were given some blue painter’s tape which we used to mark any place that needed to be looked at. It was pretty funny to see all the blue marks everywhere by the time we got done. In some places it was like a sea of blue spots. For the most part it was little things like paint touchups or scratches that happened during installation. We close on the 29th so we have to go back that morning to make sure everything is fixed before we sign all the paper work. Should be fun! It’s still kind of hard to believe that’s actually where we’re going to be living. All this time it’s just been a nice place to visit on Sunday, hehe.
Adam’s a gimp!
Yeah so Adam has been limping around all day today. This morning during his workout he was apparently trying to push himself while sprinting when he heard two loud pops. Umm, oops? He ended up pulling both his hamstrings! I went out to the store and bought him some ace bandages and an ice pack so he spent most of the evening resting. Fun times. Guess he won’t be working out tomorrow!
Yay for Tessa!
I finally got around to watching The Bachelor tonight. Sooo cute! I’m really glad I knew he was going to pick Tessa before I watched - it would have been really stressful otherwise. I do think that his reaction to each of the women’s “I love you”s really said it all. With Tessa he seemed genuinely excited and with Bevin he seemed almost…sad? I don’t know, I’m just glad this one ended with a happy ending - and with a couple that’s still actually together by the time the show finished airing! LOL
And the American Idol is…
No surprise with who won! What I was surprised about was I extended the Tivo recording for an extra 5 minutes figuring that was likely enough padding. Umm, no, it was barely long enough! I think we were at like 4 minutes 30 seconds by the time they actually announced the winner. Adam and I really thought it was going to cut off with an “and the winner is…” LOL! I will say that one thing I really liked about this finale was they had so many past Idols return to perform. It was nice to see them finally supporting where they got their start rather than trying to stay as far away as possible. But anyway, now that that’s over with, who’s ready for So You Think You Can Dance? LOL
Ok well it’s getting late here so I should wrap this up. Must make sure I’m nice and rested for the festivities tomorrow! LOL Until next time…
